Job Description
Director of Finance
Join our leadership team and take charge of the financial strategy and performance at our hotel. As Director of Finance, you will oversee all financial operations, safeguard assets, and ensure compliance with company standards while supporting our commitment to exceptional guest service and sustainability.
What Will You Do?
Lead, train, schedule, and support accounting team members in line with brand standards and HHM core values.
Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to hotel leadership for efficient operations.
Monitor and authorize all hotel-related financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payroll, and expenses.
Prepare, review, and present monthly financial statements and operational performance reports.
Develop and manage financial forecasts and budgets (annual, rolling, and ad hoc).
Ensure compliance with all payroll and labor-related regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Oversee contracts, permits, licenses, and insurance; support hotel management with legal and regulatory compliance.
Implement and audit internal controls, including purchasing, cash handling, inventory, and payroll processes.
Promote a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and hotel safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
5–10 years of progressive accounting experience in the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills and familiarity with hotel accounting systems and internal controls.
Marriott brand experience highly preferred.
ProfitSword Knowledge highly preferred.
