Purpose:
The Product Strategy Manager is in charge of managing, directing, and carrying out all activities related to Product Portfolio Strategy and Lifecycle Management to lead connected cars and mobility services in collaboration with Hyundai/ Kia HQ, affiliate companies and client business units in the NA region. Depending on business growth, the scope of this role can be extended to cover product strategy and life cycle management in other regions of the globe. The role includes product portfolio strategy development and entire lifecycle management of each product in B2B and B2C connected car and mobility service arena . Support the client business unit leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and develop new opportunities for new revenue generation, enhancement of performance and profitability of each product portfolio . This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities leading and driving business requirements definitions and use cases design, partnership development and management, project governance, financial tracking and analysis, partner contracting and management, application of standard product management processes and artifacts, performance and risk management, process and methodology development and improvement.
Essential Functions:
Lead the team of senior product strategy consultants to perform all activities required by product/ service portfolio and lifecycle management professionals, these include:
+ Lead the development of connected car and mobility product portfolio strategy including
+ Define and execute a robust product portfolio strategy for telematics, vehicle connectivity, and mobility solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
+ Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
+ Develop business cases and prioritize investments across the portfolio to maximize value and market impact.
+ Lead the product lifecycle management activities including
+ Manage the complete lifecycle of products, from ideation and development through launch, growth, maturity, and end-of-life phases.
+ Establish processes for regular portfolio reviews to assess performance and make data-driven decisions.
+ Drive product evolution through updates, enhancements, and integration with emerging technologies (e.g., 5G, AI).
+ Develop and lead the Mobility Integration Platform service offering to enable the expansion of telematics services into the fleet and B2B business area.
+ Manage the overall business solution development team, from technical demonstration through POC and productization, according to market demand and potential in the automotive and telematics businesses.
+ Identify and assist in the development of strategic partnerships required to generate new revenue streams.
+ Establish and manage strategic partnerships with affiliates and external business partners, including telecom partners and 3rd party B2B partners, to find creative ways to overcome obstacles and ensure delivery of quality, schedule, and cost goals.
+ Work with executives from partner companies and use competitive intelligence, financial analysis, and market research to identify compelling trends and opportunities.
+ Lead and coordinate discussions and contract negotiations with partners and business units, including but not limited to new product development contracts, pricing, SLAs on quality of service (QoS) etc.
+ Review current product pricing structure against the existing and forecasted usage and recommend new pricing plan and negotiation strategy based on SME input.
+ Assist the Business Operations team in client engagement and account management services, such as the upkeep and review of the MSA, SOWs, budget, POs, and invoice processing.
+ Assist the HOS (head of sections) with various strategy and planning responsibilities to meet the department KPIs and organization needs.
+ Spearhead initiatives that are consistent with the client business units overall strategy and act as liaison with planning to help align technology plan with product portfolio roadmap .
+ Provide financial oversight and goal setting to accelerate bottom line benefits associated with connected car and mobility product portfolio .
Supervisory / Managerial Duties
+ Manage and mentor a group of product strategy section members, including but not limited to Senior Product Strategy Consultants, Associate Product Strategists, Market Analysts, or Product Strategy Analysts.
+ Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development support.
+ Set team priorities and oversee day-to-day planning, workload balancing, and quality assurance for strategic deliverables.
+ Foster a high-performance team culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and customer value
Executive Stakeholder Engagement
+ Prepare and deliver presentations to executive leadership on product strategy, product development opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
+ Influence senior stakeholders and build alignment across departments.

Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in the field of business, computers, information systems or related degree.
+ 10+ years of leading or participating in business strategy or technology projects, preferably in a consulting environment.
+ 5+ years of experience in the Automotive, Telematics or Telecommunications industry
+ Consulting experience at a Big4 consulting company, highly desirable
+ Experience with Vehicle Telematics/ Connectivity/ Mobility industry a plus
+ Experience with entire project portfolio and entire lifecycle management.
+ Experienced with entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for solution delivery
+ Experience managing contracts, SOWs, and change order processes for both customers and vendors.
+ Strong time management, multi-tasking, quantitative & qualitative analysis, decision making skills, critical thinking.
+ The ability to work effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver against critical deadlines.
+ The ability to influence others and collaborate with various stakeholders while maintaining an executive presence
+ Experience leading internal IT teams and external partners to deliver IT solutions and services within customer expectations
+ Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
+ Ability to adapt to business and technological change within the company and learn the changes quickly, Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to give and receive real-time feedback to and from team members
+ Experience with Vehicle Telematics/ Connectivity/ Mobility industry a plus
+ A strong network within the global automotive industry is a plus
+ Expert level LinkedIn user for business development
Other Requirements
+ 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams
+ 5+ years of technical program management experience
+ Experience with AGILE or other program management methodologies
+ Experienced in understanding and contributing to the business and technical architecture and design of a product/ feature(s).
+ STRONG MS Project skills required
+ Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong Analytic, Documentation, and Organizational Skills
+ Efficient with multitasking between multiple projects
+ Data Analysis Skills (e.g., SQL data extraction, Exporting to MS Excel, data manipulation, Report Formatting, and analysis)
+ Proficiency in all Microsoft products including: MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint 2013

Salary range - $118,650 to $182,710
