• High lift Operator - 2nd Shift

    Kayem Foods, Inc. (Chelsea, MA)


    SUMMARY: Use stand-up High-lift to move products, equipment, and materials while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

    RESPONSIBILITIES :

    + Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height for inbound and production items

    + Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment

    + Choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items

    + Do all necessary paperwork for the safe operation of equipment and product movement in the computer system

    + Willing to be cross trained

    + Perform other tasks as requested

    + Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device

    + Complete daily maintenance/check sheet for all equipment assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Have experience or working knowledge of processing equipment operation, processing specifications, and labeling requirements

    + Have experience or working knowledge of processing equipment operation, processing specifications, and labeling requirements

    + Bilingual is a plus but you must be able to complete required paperwork (productivity reports and other miscellaneous paperwork)

    + Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment

    + Ability to work in temperatures as low as 20 to 40 degrees ??

    + Capable of regularly lifting and /or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 80 lbs

    + Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
