    Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in the steel industry for a Manufacturing Engineer.

     

    Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

     

    Pay: $75,000 - $110,000 DOE

     

    Duration: DIRECT HIRE

     

    We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer eager to join the construction sector and revolutionize the manufacturing process of large-scale steel structures. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical expertise for all automated systems and equipment within our facilities, directly supporting production and quality teams in the fabrication of steel assemblies. The ideal candidate will utilize process improvement methodologies to drive product quality, continuous improvement initiatives, and decrease waste while advancing Industry 4.0 adoption.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Responsible for troubleshooting all systems including robotics, supervising preventative and predictive maintenance while ensuring manufacturer’s procedures are followed, to keep production equipment operational.

    + Provide training and technical robotic support to Production and Skilled Trade Team members.

    + Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvement.

    + Collect data and analyze information generated from systems, processes, and tasks. Utilize statistics to develop improvement plans and future requirements needed for manufacturing processes.

    + Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with local, state, and federal government laws and regulations.

    + Optimize labor, material and other production costs to support current and future production requirements.

    + Analyze the planned workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.

    + Lead and coordinate all equipment troubleshooting efforts with supplier tech support

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related field; Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Manufacturing preferred

    + Leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills

    + Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-pace environment including team settings

    + Working knowledge of CAD and BIM software (Tekla, AutoCAD and/or similar)

    + Knowledge of structural steel materials and welding processes preferred

    + Working knowledge of statistics and process improvement methods

    + Ability to pass a background and drug screen
