Our client, a leading player in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the technical support team, ensuring the smooth operation of data center activities. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1

**Location:** Lithia Springs, GA

**Duration:** 18 Months on W2

**Pay Range:** $21 - $24/hour

Responsibilities:

+ Remove network cables as part of datacenter decommissioning

+ Run, label, and stage power and networking cables

+ Perform DBD (data-bearing device) removal only (no scanning involved)

+ Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment, with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads

+ Prepare, stage, set up, and conduct basic startups and shutdowns for hardware using written instructions, checklists, and standard procedures

+ Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets

Requirements:

+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

+ Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components

+ Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

+ Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays
