    Our client, a leader in higher education consulting, is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Consultant to join their team. As a PMO Consultant, you will be part of the IT department supporting the development of a new Project Management Office. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of project management practices, and the ability to provide strategic guidance, which will align successfully with the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Project Management Office (PMO) Consultant

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Serve as a strategic advisor to the Senior Project Manager on PMO design, development, and implementation.

    + Provide best practices, frameworks, and recommendations for establishing scalable project governance and reporting structures.

    + Assist in the development and review of project management templates and documentation to ensure alignment with institutional goals.

    + Guide change management strategies tailored to a complex higher education setting.

    + Participate in monthly virtual consulting sessions and respond to ad hoc requests for input and feedback.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

    + Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project and program management.

    + Demonstrated experience establishing or advising on PMO structures within public colleges or universities.

    + Proven expertise in organizational change management within a higher education context.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a consultative environment.
