    The **Senior Associate, Content Creation** is responsible for creating and maintaining a library of marketing collateral to educate local stakeholders and build support for RWE Clean Energy’s (RWECE) onshore renewable energy projects. This position reports to the Senior Director of Community Engagement.

    Roles Responsibilities:

    + Create and maintain a library of educational and promotional materials about RWECE and renewable energy projects to support outreach around the company’s portfolio of onshore operating and development projects. Types of collateral will include fact sheets, FAQs, photos, infographics, poster boards, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, and other marketing materials

    + Work with Community Engagement, Communications, Government Relations, and onshore wind, solar, battery storage, and hydrogen project development teams to identify content needs and refine messaging for rural audiences hosting RWECE’s renewable energy projects

    + Conduct research about common issues and concerns related to renewable energy technologies and distill it into clear and accessible messaging or graphics

    + Travel to project communities to provide external vendors with guidance on filming testimonials from local stakeholders (landowners, local officials, employees, vendors, etc.) for video, website, and print materials

    + Work with internal project teams to create project logos for RWECE’s development projects

    + Create branded templates for social media, email newsletters, and printed materials that can be easily edited and customized by internal RWECE teams

    + Update fact sheets and other materials with the latest boilerplate and company stats on an annual or as-needed basis

    + Work with internal teams to compile key company or project stats that can be communicated through external-facing collateral

    + Ensure all materials adhere to RWE’s corporate design manual and are in compliance with Legal, Communications, and other internal corporate standards

    + Identify reliable and cost-effective printing and direct mail vendors and support internal teams with placing orders

    + Hire and manage external contractors for additional support, as needed

    Job Requirements & Experiences:

    + Bachelor's Degree, Adobe Certified Professional (ACP), or Certified Graphic Designer (CGD) preferred

    + Experience 5 years working in graphic design, visual arts, strategic communications, marketing or public relations

    + Experience with renewable energy, electric power industry, public affairs, or political campaigns preferred

    + Familiarity with election laws regarding campaign materials (e.g., proper disclaimers on ads)

    + Portfolio of at least 10 marketing or educational pieces showcasing your full range of graphic design skills

    + Advanced written and visual communication

    + Ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences

    + Project and document management

    + Proofreading and exceptional attention to detail

    + Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with tight deadlines

    + Proficient in Adobe InDesign or comparable professional-grade design software

    + MS Windows and Office 365 applications

    + Based out of the Chicago or Austin Office. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days in the office

    + Travel – Up to 15%. Comfortable with overnight stays

    + The employee must be able to drive, sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time

    **Pay range:** The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $78,000 - $116,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
