Summary:

Delivery drivers make local-area deliveries and pick-ups to/from customers and suppliers. Drivers complete job duties by preparing, loading, unloading, operating and cleaning a truck; maintaining records; and helping to develop sales. Drivers are also expected to help with various warehouse duties as needed.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Valid Class C Drivers License with acceptable driving record

+ Maintaining eligibility for a DOT medical certificate

+ Ability to inspect, maintain, and safely operate a motor vehicle.

+ Ability to load and unload a delivery truck from ground level or platform in a variety of warehouse and construction worksite situations.

+ Ability to read, write, and do math to correctly access warehouse materials for order picking, properly deliver orders, and correctly complete all paperwork for deliveries and pick-ups.

+ Operate a computer and relevant systems

+ Operate a smartphone

+ Outstanding attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience driving box trucks

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures. Deliveries in all weather conditions including during extreme hot/cold, rain and other seasonal conditions. Must be able to sit, stand, and lift 50+ pounds.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Legally operate a motor vehicle and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.

+ Load all order fulfillment materials onto truck for delivery and unload at delivery.

+ Deliver/pick up merchandise to/from customers and suppliers promptly, efficiently, and in a professional manner.

+ Order fulfillment and wire cutting as needed

+ Perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicle.

+ Communicate any vehicle mechanical problems to direct supervisor.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $18 to $18 hourly.
