    About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking an associate to join our Municipal Products Group (MPG). The MPG Trading Associate and Data Specialist will play a crucial role in daily PNL attribution, data analysis, and desk process optimization. The new hire will also support electronic trading activities, where they will help provide liquidity to investor customers. The associate will be part of a dynamic team that includes senior and junior members and will work collaboratively with sales and trading to improve operations, enhance data management, and execute transactions.

    In this role, you will:

    + Perform daily attribution and analysis to ensure accurate reporting and insights

    + Review and optimize desk processes including looking for automation opportunities

    + Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support trading decisions

    + Support electronic trading activities, including monitoring and improving trading logic

    + Assist electronic trading team with customer requests for liquidity, trade execution, and risk management

    + Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal and external customers

    Required Qualifications:

    + 2+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    Desired Qualifications:

    + 2+ years of related sales and trading or equivalent experience, demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    + Background that includes municipal markets, data analytics, big data, and programming

    + Prior sales & trading or electronic/algorithmic trading experience

    + Experience processing large amounts of data to arrive at decisions via Python, SQL, VBA, others

    + Intermediate/Advanced level of proficiency in Python

    + Track record of improving and automating processes through use of strong programming skills

    + Very comfortable and efficient in Excel. Experience writing formulas; organizing, analyzing, and formatting data; and recognizing and auditing errors.

    + High attention to detail and accuracy

    + Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.

    + Leadership experience and/or experience training others in a relevant professional capacity

    + An energetic self-starter who is detail-oriented with strong quantitative skills and enjoys working in a team environment; ability to work with little direct supervision and thrive in a high energy environment

    + Analytical thinker with ability to make decisions and recommendations that are well reasoned

    + High level of personal motivation. Does more than what is asked for and anticipates questions/issues.

    + Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining excellence and consistency of work. Ability to quickly change focus and stay organized is a must.

    Job Expectations:

    + Ability to travel up to 10% or as needed

    + Registration for FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

    + Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

    + Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

    + Registration for FINRA Series 52 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

    + Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness, criminal, and political contribution background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance.

     

    Pay Range

     

    Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

     

    $111,100.00 - $237,100.00
