About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Trading Securities Associate to join their Global Secured Trading (GST) team. This role will be responsible for assisting in substantially all aspects of GST trading. This activity includes trade execution, trade management, risk management, systems/data reconciliation, and both internal and client/customer reporting.
Wells Fargo’s Global Secured Trading (GST) provides client financing solutions, secured funding and collateral optimization to clients of the Markets Division and across Corporate and Investment Banking. Products include repo, reverse repo, and total return swaps. GST has offices globally including Charlotte, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Dublin and London.
In this role, you will:
+ Effectively manage transactions including total return swaps and reverse repo transactions
+ Successfully monitor the flow of trades from trade date to settle date including preparing, reviewing, and confirming required documentation
+ Ensure transactions are booked accurately and within the various trading limits,
+ Assist with monitoring market and counterparty credit risk exposures
+ Create and maintain relationships with trading counterparts and clients along with multiple Wells Fargo internal support partners (Legal, Market Risk, Operations, Finance, Counterparty Credit Risk, Compliance, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of Securities Trading
+ Experience developing and managing client relationships
+ Knowledge and understanding of risk management
+ Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
+ Strong technical and analytical skills including financial analysis
+ Candidate should possess and display strong customer focus and client service skills
+ Candidate needs to be organized, affable, and able to work in a collegial, team-oriented environment
Job Expectations:
+ Ability to travel up to 10% or as needed
+ Registration for FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
+ Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
+ Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
