    We are hiring a Solutions Architect Manager to work with our early Startup customers. The Solutions Architect team engages with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, design reliable, and cost-effective cloud-native architectures. As a Startups Solutions Architect Manager, you will support and develop Solutions Architects who partner with customers, AWS Sales, and several other AWS teams to create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    -Work with peers in Account Management and Business Development functions to develop comprehensive pursuit and engagement plans that meet the needs of startup customers

     

    -Act directly as a technical executive sponsor for our most critical accounts

     

    -Champion your area’s customer needs with senior leaders (Director, VP) inside AWS

     

    -Hire, on-board, train, and develop Solutions Architects from internal and external sources

     

    -Develop mechanisms to ensure your team is well-positioned to deliver high value to customers and the right results for the business

     

    -Maintain a high bar for operational excellence; define and maintain appropriate cadences for inspecting the business in your area

     

    -Own the talent management strategy and outcomes for your team (performance management, promotion pipelines, leadership development, mentoring programs etc.)

    Basic Qualifications

    - 10+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience

     

    - 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience

     

    - 8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experience

     

    - Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $152,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
