    Description

    Ring is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) with a strong focus on automation to join our team to fortify our Billing and Subscriptions team. As a QAE - Automation Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our software products through automated testing processes.

    In this role, you will support the automation testing and quality assurance efforts for various tools and cloud services integral to our billing and subscriptions systems. Your experience in automation will drive efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the reliability and quality of our systems as we continue to grow.     Key job responsibilities

    Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks, ensuring the comprehensive validation of software functionality, performance, and reliability. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will identify opportunities for both manual & test automation integration throughout the software development lifecycle, facilitating the seamless incorporation of automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. Your adept analytical abilities will be crucial to analyze test results, report defects, and provide detailed information to support developers in troubleshooting and resolution.

     

    A day in the life

     

    - Collaborate closely with engineers and business owners throughout the development and testing lifecycle, including requirements gathering and design analysis.

     

    - Develop test plans and test cases, and effectively execute them across all functional and UI areas of our products.

     

    - Analyze and interpret testing results, aid in troubleshooting and resolution, and advocate for quality in every phase of the development process.

     

    - Automate test cases for Ring applications, focusing on UI, API, or mobile automation. Use Java, open-source, and Amazon tools to support functional, regression, and performance testing.

     

    - Work with development teams to identify test automation opportunities and integrate with CICD.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

     

    - Experience in automation testing

     

    - Experience in manual testing

     

    - Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience in API & Mobile testing

     

    - Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
