**Summary:** Leads and executes critical initiatives focused on process improvement and capital expenditure projects. Will have a proven track record of managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to completion, with a strong emphasis on cost control, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration. Will lead the plant's continuous improvement initiatives designed to eliminate waste and non-value added activities and improve performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory.
Responsibilities:
+ Leads the plant's OpEx efforts in implementing, training, and following up with the plant's overall OpEx strategy, and communicates with the OpEx team on findings, training materials, and gaps.
+ Leads the development, organization, and execution of capital expenditure projects, including planning, cost analysis, and risk assessments.
+ Develops and executes a training plan for associates, supervisors, and managers to ensure the integration of Best Practices into the plant's culture and daily processes, including the onboarding of new hires.
+ Manages complex, multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring the implementation of planned cost control, agreement management, and maintenance necessities.
+ Takes ownership of any OpEx Value Stream Map findings in your plant and periodically reports progress on the Kaizen Journal.
+ Ensures that the training mentioned, tools, best practices and resources are available to employees at all levels and that they are being utilized appropriately and effectively.
+ Follows through with Product Value Analysis audits and keeps the PVA team updated on the progress.
+ Fosters strong interdepartmental working relationships and builds rapport with production workers, management, stakeholders, and safety.
+ Applies Lean Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives, process documentation, and analyze data.
+ Leads all reporting and root-cause analysis. Leads or coaches focused-improvement activities and teams to improve results like safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory. Conducts root-cause analysis and coaching to resolve production issues.
+ Collects, analyzes, and summarizes data using spreadsheet tools for performance tracking and reporting.
+ Facilitates stakeholder communication, manages expectations, and builds strong relationships.
+ Utilizes project management skills including timeline estimation, status reporting, and issue tracking.
Qualifications:
+ Engaged and willing to learn new concepts and remain open to different opinions.
+ Able to work with others to communicate and train plant employees OpEx training tools in MS Teams.
+ Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in the building industry.
+ Hands on experience using modern Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods.
+ Proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building rapport and collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma, process documentation, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and data analysis.
+ Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
+ Demonstrated ability to apply critical thought processes to develop, recommend and implement strategies and programs that address plant and corporate objectives.
+ Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
+ Prior leadership experience, particularly in fostering positive team environments and managing budgets, is highly valued.
+ Must be able to communicate at all levels
+ Must have acute attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
+ Must be a forward thinker and be able to plan strategically to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks
+ Travel is required, up to 10% of the time.
