In film, Amazon Studios produces and acquires Original movies for theatrical release and for Prime Video.

Amazon Studios is looking for a Communications Lead for the Amazon Studios PR team.
This individual will be based in Culver City and report to the Publicity Principal, Content of Amazon Studios.
Key job responsibilities
• Work with Head of Corp Comms and Director of PR for Amazon MGM Studios on communications strategy for Amazon Studios across original series.
• Serve as key press contact for Amazon Studios and manage breaking news for development, casting, production, and other Studios announcements.
• Draft press releases, media alerts, pitches, executive communications, bios, talking points, and other written material as needed.
• Pitch stories to all external media outlets, including entertainment trade press, traditional print reporters and critics, electronic media and mainstream online outlets, as well as non-traditional media.
• Identify and secure speaking opportunities and interview opportunities for Amazon Studios executives.
• Monitor and track press coverage for distribution to senior leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant media.
• Manage external public relations agencies on strategy and day-to-day matters (if applicable)
• Cover executives and/or studio talent at industry events.
• Liaise with international counterparts for executive and/or talent travel and appearance logistics at international industry events.
• Keep current on trends, issues and news about both the business and consumer worlds of series and entertainment in general.
• Communicate to key internal and external stakeholders key information and issues as it relates to Amazon Studios content.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of the entertainment industry
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail
- Desire to work with the media proactively to generate press coverage
- A passion for pop culture and entertainment
- Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
