Amazon is seeking a Legal Assistant to manage administrative matters relating to coordination and maintenance of our patent portfolio. This is a great opportunity to work in a stimulating environment with team-oriented coworkers.

Key job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include ownership of our inventor recognition program, working with inventors to satisfy requests, maintaining information in our docketing system, and assisting paralegals and attorneys with managing projects and programs related to patents and intellectual property. Other duties may include coordinating execution of agreements, tracking a large volume of documents, maintaining status reports, performing general office tasks, and coordinating other legal and administrative matters with the business groups.

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of professional or military experience

- 2+ years of administrative assistant experience

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications

- Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks

- Experience in a technology company or other legal experience

- Familiarity with patents

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $43,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $92,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
