One focus area of the Worldwide (WW) Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission is to provide tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, and healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and well-being. To support this focus area, Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative people leader to serve as our Sr. Manager, Program Manager for WW WHS to build programs and set standards that create a safe workplace and build a world-class safety culture in the midst of Amazon’s explosive growth. In this role, you will dive deep into Operations and WHS processes; identify risks through data and first-hand experience; build programs and improve processes to eliminate risks; complete analytical review of peer competitors using public records to help set internal benchmarks; coordinate the annual goal setting for WW WHS based on historic trend and planned projects; set WW WHS standards and auditing to hold a high bar of execution; and interface with senior leadership within the company providing swift metric based support. This role will focus on leading large, strategic projects that span multiple (if not all) Amazon Business Units (BUs) and geographies, including network-wide projects and other solutions that benefit many types of operations.
The Sr. Manager, Program Manager role will challenge you to push boundaries and lead transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make rapid data-driven decisions and invent on behalf of Operators (leaders) and Associates. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with members from various teams, including Operations; Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT); Amazon Robotics (AR); Inbound Supply Chain; Launch; Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP); Capacity Planning; Finance; etc. to deploy solutions at scale. This role calls for an individual who is technically smart to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
The leader will report into the Sr. Manager, Program Management within the WHS Central Programs Team, and work collaboratively across all Amazon BUs and geographies to provide innovative solutions across our business. Initially, this role is a leadership role with a team of independent contributors supporting the WW WHS organization.

The ideal candidate must have outstanding judgment, compassion, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in many areas across the company.
This position requires travel up to approximately 25%, when needed (and with appropriate health and safety conditions).

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of team management experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience defining program requirements by using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- MBA, or PMP
- Experience managing teams of 6 or more
- Knowledge of MySQL, Six Sigma tools/Lean techniques, experience with validating statistical significance.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
