Help shape the future of secure cloud connectivity! As a Software Development Engineer II on the PrivateLink RTSB (Real-Time Scaling and Billing) team, you'll be at the heart of enhancing one of AWS's most crucial networking services.

Our team owns mission-critical services that directly impact AWS customer experience offering private and secured connectivity. We're responsible for:

• Publishing real-time PrivateLink usage metrics to customers

• Generating and processing PrivateLink billing records for AWS invoice services

• Building innovative tools for enhanced PrivateLink service provider load and availability management

• Delivering key product adoption insights to leadership and stakeholders

Recently, we launched Cross-region PrivateLink - one of our most requested features - and continue to evolve through various micro-services supporting this important capability.

As an SDE II, you'll:

• Architect and implement scalable solutions for complex technical challenges

• Lead development of existing systems to enhance functionality and performance

• Design new services to meet emerging customer needs at Amazon scale

• Build microservices-based applications using modern serverless technologies

• Collaborate with top talent to drive innovation in cloud security

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
