Description
We are looking for a Finance leader who loves video entertainment and wants to work directly with Product and Business leaders on shaping the future of Prime Video (PV).
PV offers customers the largest selection of any streaming service in the world, combining exclusive content available for Prime members (e.g. Amazon Original hits like Fallout, Reacher, and The Boys; licensed content from other studios; live events such as Thursday Night Football), 3P Channel subscriptions such as Paramount+, HBO Max, and AppleTV+, an expansive catalog of transactional (rent or buy) content (TVOD), and linear ad supported channels with 24/7 programming. The PV team comprises individuals who are all obsessively focused on one mission: to give consumers the world’s best-in-class digital video customer experience.
Our PV Product organization is constantly innovating on the customer experience in PV, including enhanced personalization and building intuitive discovery journeys for customers to find all of the content available to them in PV. This forward-looking focus requires close partnership with Finance to not only highlight opportunities from metrics reporting, but to also forecast impact of features and assist in evaluating experimentation.
The ideal candidate is someone who loves to dive into data and transform it into insights that connect back to the customer experience. Familiarity with SQL and large datasets is critical in order to access and combine data to iterate on new metrics and analyses. This is a fast-paced environment with inherent ambiguity which requires a self-starter that is comfortable working independently. They must be comfortable performing detailed, complicated analysis and communicating findings to stakeholders in a clear, efficient manner that highlights the most relevant points to the business’ strategy.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead short and long-term financial forecasting and planning for multiple projects at a time
• Work directly with various stakeholders (including partners from other business and finance teams) to develop and support key assumptions
• Deep dive into CX experiments to develop and understand further insights by structuring more granular data
• Provide all financial inputs for any launch related documents, independently troubleshooting dependencies and conflicts with other teams
• Influence business decisions by effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of alternatives
About the team
We love Prime Video, but more broadly TV and film entertainment in general. Applying that passion on a daily basis and being able to connect our work to how Prime Video delivers for customers is what keeps us going. While we are a Finance team, we very much feel like part of the business and product teams and are treated as such.
