    Looking for an opportunity to use your excellent writing, editing and organizational skills while gaining exposure to global, strategic, and cross-functional initiatives on the Amazon Talent Acquisition (ATA) Team? We are seeking an HR Specialist who is talented in writing strategic, executive-level documents to join the Business Operations (BizOps) team for ATA.

     

    To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate on-going curiosity and creativity, balanced with the ability to distill numerous inputs/ideas into meaningful actions and recommendations. You must have strong analytical capabilities and a process improvement mentality, demonstrating the ability to work well and influence strategically at both the team level and in large, cross-functional environments.

     

    The screening process for this role will include writing samples.

     

    This is an on-site role. The following locations are acceptable:

     

    Seattle, WA

     

    Bellevue, WA

     

    Arlington, VA (DC Metro)

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    While this role will require heavy writing and editing, the candidate will also be exposed to and support the greater ATA strategy, operational planning, communications, and rhythm of business initiatives on the BizOps team.

    Responsibilities:

    -Develop high-quality strategic documents and communications that translate complex topics into clear, compelling narratives

     

    -Create impactful data visualizations and content that resonates with executive-level audiences

     

    -Proactively identify opportunities to enhance communication effectiveness and knowledge sharing across the organization

     

    -Develop and execute on ATA's rhythm of business, including organizing critical action items and timelines

     

    -Manage program lifecycles, including integration, task coordination, resource development, and stakeholder identificatio

     

    -Navigate competing priorities and manage within resource constraints

     

    -Partner with peers and leaders across the organization to understand and communicate business priorities and initiatives

     

    -Coordinate with subject matter experts and leadership to ensure accuracy and alignment in high-stakes materials

     

    -Model writing best practices in all forms of communication (status updates, documents, PR/FAQs, stakeholder management)

    About the team

    The Amazon Talent Acquisition Business Operations (ATA BizOps) team serves as a strategic partner driving transformative initiatives across Amazon's global hiring organization. We are a high-energy, data-driven team that works directly with executive leadership to optimize talent acquisition processes, articulate strategic plans, and scale best practices across ATA.

    Basic Qualifications

    -Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related discipline, or equivalent experience

     

    -5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, HR, program/project management, or related fields

     

    -Proven track record of editing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior management

     

    -Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with skill in synthesizing complex information into clear, compelling narratives

     

    -Strong project management skills, including cross-functional coordination and delivering within scope, time, and budget

     

    -Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

     

    -Adaptability when navigating ambiguity and frequent change

     

    -Experience tailoring communication styles to various executive stakeholders

     

    -Strong attention to detail and results-oriented mindset

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience writing for Amazon executives, or C-Suite level leadership

     

    - 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

     

    - Keen business acumen and the ability to 'be a student', quickly studying and understanding diverse business functions, strategies, and challenges

     

    - Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with leaders at all levels

     

    - Comfortable with program management and collaboration platforms, particularly Asana

     

    - Comfortable with data analysis and financial acumen

    - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

    - Experience with UX/CX in communication channels (e.g., email/wiki templates)

    - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

    - The ability to not take yourself too seriously. We like to laugh around here!

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
