We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Commercial or Multi-Family Accounting Team.

Responsibilities include full charge accounting for several commercial or multi-family properties. Day to day duties include, but are not limited to the following:

+ Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and various other reports as required by ownership/management.

+ G/L account analysis and review.

+ Annual budget preparation.

+ Variance analysis.

+ Coding invoices for accounts payable and review of the A/P input.

+ Ensuring compliance with the management contracts.

+ Maintain building and review & interpret lease files.

+ Completion of CAM & RET Reconciliations (Only CM).

+ Completion of YE Tax Workpapers.

+ Assist with the acquisition and disposition of assets.

+ Ability to work in a team environment and independently.

+ Ability to effectively communicate with property management and company management.

+ Special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Controller and/or CFO.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, have a strong work ethic and have the ability to meet deadlines, in addition to:

+ Two or more years of real estate accounting experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

+ Experience in Yardi or equivalent program is a plus.

+ Good time management skills.

+ Must have the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision to complete accounting duties and tasks successfully.
