    Description

    We are a growing and dynamic manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to join our team. As an AR Clerk, you will play a key role in the financial success of our organization by ensuring the efficient processing and management of receivables. Your contribution will help maintain strong cash flow and build lasting relationships with our customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Accounts Receivable Management:

    + Process and post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit card transactions) accurately and in a timely manner.

    + Generate and distribute customer invoices based on sales orders, contracts, and delivery confirmations.

    + Maintain detailed records of all AR transactions and prepare account reconciliations.

    + Monitor accounts to identify overdue balances and initiate collection efforts through phone calls, emails, or written communications.

    Customer Account Oversight:

    + Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, adjustments, or unapplied payments.

    + Collaborate with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure proper communication regarding customer accounts.

    + Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers while addressing their inquiries related to invoicing and payments.

    Reporting and Compliance:

    + Prepare and present aging reports to management, highlighting delinquent accounts and escalation efforts.

    + Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements for accounts receivable processes.

    + Assist with month-end close by ensuring AR balances are accurate and reconciling any discrepancies.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    Education & Experience:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred).

    + 2+ years of experience in an accounts receivable or general accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing or high-volume environment.

    Skills & Competencies:

    + Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively.

    + Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

    + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for customer interactions and cross-department collaboration.
