Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will oversee a range of bookkeeping tasks, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This position requires on-site work during standard business hours, providing an opportunity to work in a detail-oriented yet collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

• Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise to maintain and update financial records accurately.

• Prepare and organize documentation for audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Assist with property taxes by gathering necessary certificates and communicating with relevant parties.

• Support end-of-year financial processes by compiling and submitting records to external accountants.

• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for financial analysis and reporting.

• Ensure cash flow is monitored effectively and assist with budget preparation as needed.

• Address employment tax and federal tax requirements in collaboration with the team.

• Provide dependable support for various accounting functions, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial activities. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Knowledge of tax preparation, including income tax and property tax processes.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills and a dependable work ethic.

• Experience working with computerized accounting systems and software.

• Ability to work on-site during standard business hours.
