Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations. This position is based in Morris Plains, New Jersey, and offers an excellent opportunity to work in the dynamic real estate and property industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices accurately while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Calculate interest on invoices and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Perform data entry tasks with precision, maintaining accurate financial records.

• Utilize Excel to create formulas and analyze financial data effectively.

• Collaborate with team members to address and resolve payment issues or vendor inquiries.

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and improve processes.

• Identify and resolve problems related to accounts payable transactions.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors and suppliers.

• Reconcile accounts and assist in month-end closing activities as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and using formulas.

• Strong experience in accounts payable processes and systems.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Proven ability to calculate interest and perform financial analysis.

• Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on resolving discrepancies.

• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
