• Staff Accountant

    Description

    We are looking for a long term staff accountant.

     

    + Job Outcomes You Must Get:Perform month-end close, monthly financial statements, as well as financial reporting for quarterly and annual filings Provide transactional, research, and project support for Revenue, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable activity

    + Process bi-weekly payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local laws

    + Prepare account reconciliations for various accounts including fixed assets and prepaid assets

    + Provide support for audits by external entities, including direct interaction with the external auditors, preparing supporting schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis as requested

    + Continuous development and documentation of accounting related processes and procedures

    + Responsible for internal control documentation over financial reporting

    + Participate in process improvements and system implementations as needed

    + Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    + Job Outcomes Requirements:4-year degree (BS or BA) in Accounting or Finance

    + Problem solving and solution-oriented thinking

    + Attention to detail

    + Time management and organizational skills

    + Oral and written communication skills

    + Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)

    + Microsoft applications, emphasis on advanced Excel skills

    + Internal control/SOX experience
