Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This long-term contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at managing high-volume accounts payable processes. Responsibilities:

• Process and verify a high volume of accounts payable transactions with precision and efficiency.

• Perform exception handling and resolve discrepancies in AP processing to ensure accuracy.

• Code invoices and other financial documents accurately in line with company policies.

• Utilize large-scale accounting software systems, such as Oracle Fusion, Workday, or similar platforms.

• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Ensure compliance with accrual accounting principles and internal auditing standards.

• Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and manage electronic payment systems.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve payment-related issues.

• Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.

• Provide support during audits by preparing and delivering required documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable operations, preferably within large organizations with $1 billion+ in revenue.

• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Workday, or other large-scale accounting platforms.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including exception handling and coding.

• Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Concur and ADP Financial Services.

• Understanding of accrual accounting principles and auditing processes.

• Ability to manage data processing with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle high-volume workloads.
