    Description

    A boutique law firm in lovely Costa Mesa is growing, seeking a litigation assistant to add to their team. This firm is highly regarded in the Orange County market. This litigation assistant should have 2+ years of civil litigation experience here in CA, and take pride in their work!

    Responsibilities of Role:

    o Electronically filings with the courts

    o Preparing caption pages and proofs of service

    o Understanding discovery deadlines + calendaring for 2-3 attorneys

    o Discovery shells

    o TOAs/TOCs, formatting in MS Word and Adobe

    o Potentially preparing for trial (this is not a necessary requirement)

    • 7.5 hour work day

    Compensation:

    • Salary: $70-90K, DOE (highest range reserved for those who know eminent domain law!)

    • Bonus: Discretionary but determined in November, raises determined in July (not eligible for raise until 2026 for this hire)

    • Benefits:

    o Healthcare: MDV, automatically enrolled first day of the month, after 30 days

    o 401K: After 1 year of employment, firm contributes 3% profit sharing (whether or not employee contributes!)

    o PTO: Starts accruing right away, 12 days + state/federal holidays + staff appreciation day off + birthday off

    o Other benefits: Voluntary life insurance

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of civil litigation experience in California

    + Fluency with state court filings - must know how to navigate the court website (OC, LA, San Bernardino).

    + Ability to commute to Costa Mesa daily
