Description

We are looking for a dedicated and highly organized Payroll Specialist in Marietta, Georgia. This long-term contract position involves managing payroll operations for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations. The role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative and detail-driven environment, with opportunities to grow and contribute to process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for a workforce of nearly 400 employees, including both exempt and non-exempt roles.

• Manage expense reports, garnishments, and other payroll-related deductions in a timely and accurate manner.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations, including Social Security, Medicare, and wage deductions.

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by coordinating with HR and accounting teams.

• Maintain organized payroll records and ensure the security of sensitive employee data.

• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach.

• Support the implementation of process changes and improvements within the payroll function.

• Perform other administrative tasks related to payroll and financial operations as required.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, with a solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations.

• Familiarity with gross-to-net calculations, wage deductions, and compliance standards.

• Proficiency in payroll software systems; experience with Lawson is a plus but not mandatory.

• Strong multitasking abilities to handle competing priorities effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a collaborative team environment.

• A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new processes.

• Professionalism and patience when addressing sensitive payroll issues or employee concerns.
