Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role offers the flexibility of being onsite, hybrid, or fully remote, based on your preferences and location. Located in Torrance, California, this position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.
• Work with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to manage financial records and transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment across financial statements.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and trends.
• Support audits by providing required documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Leverage Japanese language skills, if applicable, to communicate with stakeholders or manage international accounts. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Proficiency in account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
