Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Aurora, Illinois. In this role, you will support various sales and accounting functions, ensuring smooth and accurate operations. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update customer records in organizational systems, tracking sales activities and rebate metrics.

• Provide support in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and quotes to assist the sales team.

• Process and manage sample orders, ensuring accurate data entry and timely completion.

• Generate and analyze sales reports and metrics to support decision-making processes.

• Handle incoming sales requests, including account setups, pricing adjustments, and lead management.

• Respond to customer inquiries, address concerns, and route issues to the appropriate department or personnel.

• Assist with claims management by qualifying and processing incoming requests.

• Perform miscellaneous tasks to support sales and customer service operations as needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and tools like ADP and Concur.

• Solid understanding of accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Experience with bank reconciliations and auditing processes.

• Familiarity with CaseWare or similar reporting tools.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication skills for both internal collaboration and customer interactions.
