Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PART-TIME Bookkeeper to join our team in Spokane Valley, Washington. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule and combines bookkeeping expertise with administrative responsibilities. As a Contract-to-permanent opportunity, this role provides an excellent path for long-term growth within a dynamic company specializing in spray coatings and equipment manufacturing..
This PART-TIME Bookkeeper opportunity is contract-to-permanent. The ideal candidate should be able to work ~12-15 hours per week, on-site.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for a team of six employees using QuickBooks, ensuring accurate entry of handwritten timesheets and job tracking.
• Handle federal and state tax filings, including bi-monthly 941s and other monthly or quarterly requirements.
• Manage company invoices, inputting them accurately into QuickBooks and ensuring timely payment of bills.
• Oversee compliance with Labor & Industries (L& I) programs and state regulations.
• Coordinate office administrative activities and serve as a key point of contact for organizational needs.
• Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Outlook and Adobe Illustrator to support communications and project requirements.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Support month-end close processes and maintain thorough bookkeeping documentation.
Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing for small teams, including managing handwritten timesheets.
• Solid knowledge of federal and state tax filing requirements, including 941s, quarterly filings, and compliance regulations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for payroll, invoicing, and job tracking.
• Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping tasks such as month-end close and data entry.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
• Basic understanding of Adobe Illustrator is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to handle administrative responsibilities effectively.
