    What You’ll Be Doing

     

    As a Sales Tax Generalist, you’ll ensure sales tax compliance and accuracy, collaborate with internal teams, and support tax-related inquiries. Some key responsibilities include:

     

    Sales Tax Compliance & Reporting

     

    + Prepare and file sales tax returns for multiple jurisdictions with precision and timeliness.

    + Reconcile ERP and tax systems to ensure data consistency.

    + Analyze transactions to maintain ongoing compliance.

     

    Exemption Certificate Management

     

    + Manage exemption certificates across systems and validate new account certificates.

     

    Issue Resolution & Team Collaboration

     

    + Investigate tax discrepancies and inquiries professionally and efficiently.

    + Partner with internal teams to ensure customer setup accuracy in ERP/CRM systems.

     

    General Accounting Support

     

    + Assist with accounting tasks and special projects as needed.

     

    What You Bring

     

    + Education: Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.

    + Experience: 3+ years of sales tax compliance.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software (e.g., Avalara), ERP systems, and CRM platforms like Salesforce is highly preferred.

    + Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    + Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales tax compliance

    + Competent in sales tax laws, compliance processes, and reporting requirements.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with tax software (preferably Avalara), ERP systems, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
