Description
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Southern Indiana. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building meaningful relationships across all levels of an organization. As a key contributor, you will oversee a variety of HR functions, ensuring compliance, employee engagement, and smooth operational processes.
Responsibilities:
• Provide detailed explanations of employee benefit plans and options while addressing inquiries and offering guidance.
• Manage payroll processes by ensuring accurate coding for leave of absence and collaborating with management for approvals.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and termination processes for hourly positions.
• Collaborate with internal staffing agencies to efficiently fill hourly roles that may transition to long-term positions.
• Address employee relations matters with professionalism and foster a positive workplace environment.
• Conduct investigations in alignment with established procedures while leveraging strong interpersonal skills.
• Maintain a hands-on approach by regularly engaging with employees on the floor to build rapport and address concerns.
• Organize quarterly employee engagement events, such as meals, to strengthen team morale and connection.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures while utilizing tools such as ADP and UKG Pro effectively.
Requirements
• Proven experience in HR Generalist, including employee relations, recruitment, and payroll processes.
• Proficiency in UKG Pro for managing HR functions
• Strong knowledge of benefit programs and the ability to explain options clearly.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and management effectively.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and ability to ensure adherence to policies.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage directly with employees on-site.
• Ability to conduct investigations and resolve issues in a fair and detail-oriented manner.
• Experience in organizing employee engagement activities to promote a positive workplace culture.
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
