Description We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in San Jose, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and optimizing network systems to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco technologies, routing protocols, and firewalls.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and other networking devices to ensure optimal performance.

• Implement and manage Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to enhance network routing efficiency.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.

• Deploy and manage Cisco ASA firewalls to ensure robust network security.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute network upgrades and improvements.

• Conduct regular network audits and performance assessments to identify areas for enhancement.

• Document network configurations and changes to maintain accurate records.

• Provide technical support and guidance to team members on networking protocols and systems. Requirements • Strong expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and its implementation.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and associated security technologies.

• Proficient in configuring and maintaining Cisco routers and switches.

• Solid understanding of Cisco networking technologies and protocols.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on network optimization.

• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with technical teams.
