Robert Half is partnering with a growing biotech firm in San Diego, CA seeking an organized and dynamic Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR team. This role is critical to ensuring smooth administrative processes, employee engagement, and compliance with HR best practices. Working in the biotech industry offers a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a proactive attitude are key.
Responsibilities:
+ Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including preparing employee files and managing background checks.
+ Maintain accurate records in HR systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, or another HRIS) and ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
+ Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications in partnership with the talent acquisition team.
+ Assist employees with benefit enrollment and inquiries, and liaise with vendors for updates or issue resolution.
+ Ensure employee files are up-to-date and audit-ready. Support implementation of compliance training programs as needed.
+ Help organize company events, team-building activities, and wellness programs to promote employee engagement and foster a positive corporate culture.
+ Provide general administrative support to HR leadership and participate in related projects and ad hoc tasks as needed.
Requirements
+ 2–3 years of experience in a similar HR role. Experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry preferred but not required.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR-related certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
+ Experience with HR technology, such as Workday, ADP, or other HRIS platforms, as well as strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
+ A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
