Job Title: Accounting Clerk III

Compensation: Up to $23/hour

Job Type: Long-Term Temporary (Temp-to-Hire Potential)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk III to join our team onsite in Oklahoma City. This is a long-term temporary position with the potential to become temp-to-hire for the right candidate. The ideal individual will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

+ Maintain journals or subsidiary ledgers within an accounting system

+ Review invoices and statements to verify accuracy, ensure sufficient funds are obligated, and resolve discrepancies with submitting departments

+ Code transactions and process them through data systems for application to the accounting system

+ Analyze and reconcile computer printouts with operational unit reports

+ Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure accounts are properly balanced

+ Work with minimal supervision, referring only unusual or non-recurring transactions to a supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

+ Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role

+ Knowledge of double-entry accounting is a plus

+ Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
