Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Wilsonville, Oregon. This Contract-to-continuing position offers an opportunity to contribute to financial operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable for multiple business units. The ideal candidate will excel at managing payments, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with team members to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable processes for multiple business locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Controller on financial projects and reporting.
• Process invoices, checks, and payments efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Verify, classify, and record accounts payable data, ensuring accurate general ledger coding.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and liaise with vendors to address issues.
• Update accrual records and assist unit managers with training and troubleshooting financial summaries.
• Prepare monthly lease payments, gross sales reports, and percentage rent payments for prompt submission.
• Generate detailed financial statements and reports related to accounts payable.
• Train office staff on proper invoice preparation and coding.
• Support unit managers by serving as a resource for financial inquiries and training needs.
Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable operations
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software systems and ERP tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
• Customer service mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
