Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Frisco, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in managing inventory strategies, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring smooth communication across stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for driving efficiency in logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain purchase plans to ensure balanced inventory levels and timely distribution to centers.
• Implement and regularly optimize supply planning parameters, including reorder points and safety stock levels.
• Monitor and adjust inventory levels across the supply chain to meet customer service goals while minimizing excess stock.
• Lead daily service management activities for distribution centers and create action plans for continuous improvement.
• Perform routine inventory reviews to address high and low stock levels, collaborating with internal and external partners.
• Coordinate with transportation and distribution centers to expedite deliveries when necessary.
• Mitigate risks related to obsolete inventory by implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Track and analyze supply planning performance metrics to align with business objectives.
• Oversee the full process of purchase orders, from creation to receipt at distribution centers, ensuring timely execution. Requirements • Proven experience with logistics systems such as ERP platforms, Cargowise, and CRM tools.
• Strong understanding of inventory management strategies and supply chain processes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights for inventory optimization.
• Familiarity with customs regulations and billing processes.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience in customer service within a logistics or supply chain context.
