    Key Responsibilities

    + Analyzing budget proposals and preparing comprehensive financial plans.

    + Developing, monitoring, and maintaining budgets across departments or projects.

    + Conducting cost-benefit analyses to evaluate and recommend resource optimization.

    + Reviewing actual expenses vs. budgeted figures, identifying variances, and reporting findings to stakeholders.

    + Preparing reports that include forecasts, financial performance updates, and trend analyses.

    + Assisting in the creation of annual and multi-year budget plans.

    + Collaborating with department heads to align their financial goals with organizational objectives.

    + Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, policies, and organizational standards.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

    + 3-5 years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or a related role.

    + Proficiency in budgeting software and tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Oracle Hyperion, or similar platforms).

    + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, financial modeling, VLOOKUP).

    + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.

    + Familiarity with fund accounting or nonprofit budgeting processes is a plus, if applicable to the industry.
