Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a contract position requiring onsite work, where you will play a vital role in managing accounting operations, particularly focused on accounts payable. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial processes and software systems, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review, approvals, and timely payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of incoming payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and reporting.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with the Controller and Director of Administration to support financial planning and compliance.
• Leverage Office 365 and Orion law software to enhance efficiency in accounting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in all accounting activities. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.
• Experience in month-end close processes and bank reconciliations.
• Advanced skills in Office 365, including Excel.
• Legal industry experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, and commit to a contract position.
