Description

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Accounting specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and healthcare-specific financial processes. This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial practices while documenting policies and procedures for long-term operational success. This is a 100% REMOTE contract role. 2-3+ months on a contract basis.

Healthcare Accounting Resource (remote contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Transition financial processes from cash-based accounting to accrual accounting, ensuring compliance with established standards.

• Oversee and refine revenue recognition practices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.

• Support the accounts receivable process, including setup and management of out-of-network payers.

• Develop and implement a forward-looking revenue recognition framework.

• Ensure the effective use and configuration of Sage Intacct for accrual accounting processes.

• Document detailed policies and procedures to standardize financial operations.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth financial reporting and operational efficiency.

• Provide expertise in U.S. GAAP and healthcare-specific accounting requirements.

• Review and validate accounts in Sage Intacct to align with updated financial processes.

Requirements • Proven experience in healthcare accounting with a strong understanding of out-of-network payer setups.

• Expertise in transitioning from cash accounting to accrual accounting.

• In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition principles and their application.

• Proficiency in using Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.

• Strong ability to document financial policies and procedures effectively.

• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and its application in healthcare settings.

• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts receivable processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
