• Accounting Manager/Supervisor

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Hempstead, TX)


    Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes. This role is based in Hempstead, Texas, and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in manufacturing accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team, maintaining compliance, and providing strategic financial insights.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.

    • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to meet deadlines.

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and proper general ledger coding.

    • Mentor and guide accounting team members to achieve growth and success.

    • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for routine audits.

    • Support tax preparation processes and ensure timely submissions.

    • Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate records.

    • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for management.

    • Ensure adherence to state accounting and financial regulations. Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA required

    • At least 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

    • Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills is essential.

    • Strong knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting principles.

    • Extensive experience with audits and tax preparation.

    • Proven ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.

    • Familiarity with ERP systems and other accounting software, such as SAP and BlackLine.

    • Must successfully complete all pre-employment screening
