Description

The Senior Buyer/Planner is responsible for end-to-end material planning and procurement to support manufacturing and commercial demand. This role manages MRP execution, purchase orders, vendor relationships, and inventory flow, ensuring timely availability of materials and alignment across operations, quality, finance, and other key stakeholders. Salary is 95,000-120,000.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Analyze MRP output and convert planned requisitions into purchase orders.

+ Manage daily order approvals, PO updates, and expediting with suppliers.

+ Support non-inventory and special purchase needs across departments.

+ Onboard new suppliers and lead sourcing of alternate materials when needed.

+ Collaborate with Quality to address nonconforming materials and process returns.

+ Serve as liaison between Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, R& D, and Procurement.

+ Communicate potential supply disruptions and mitigate risks proactively.

Requirements

+ 5+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, or procurement in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical or regulated industry preferred).

+ Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

+ Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and resolve supply issues.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong organizational and project management abilities.

+ Effective communicator across cross-functional teams and external partners.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
