Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial processes, from invoice preparation to account reconciliations. This is a long-term contract opportunity within the non-profit sector, offering a chance to contribute to meaningful organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices, ensuring all billing details are reviewed thoroughly.

• Maintain updated financial records and spreadsheets to track billing activities.

• Process and monitor payments, ensuring timely and accurate recording.

• Perform account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies effectively.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions with precision.

• Utilize ERP systems and accounting software to streamline financial operations.

• Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with team members to improve billing and payment processes. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing and issuing invoices.

• Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.

• Knowledge of billing functions and financial record maintenance.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.
