Description
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. The AP Clerk will be responsible for managing and ensuring timely and accurate processing of a company's financial obligations. This role primarily focuses on the organization's outgoing payments to vendors, suppliers, and contractors, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and accuracy in financial records. The AP Clerk is key in maintaining the company's financial health and strong vendor relationships by handling invoices, reconciling account discrepancies, and addressing payment-related issues.
Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Resolve invoice exceptions and discrepancies promptly to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address payment inquiries and provide necessary documentation.
• Utilize accounting systems effectively to manage accounts payable tasks.
• Prepare and review reports related to payment processing and outstanding invoices.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
• Assist in streamlining accounts payable workflows to enhance efficiency.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities as required.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while managing sensitive financial data.
Requirements • Proven experience in high-volume accounts payable processing.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable tasks is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting systems, with prior experience in specific platforms being advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external vendors.
• Ability to work on-site in Cleveland, Ohio.
• Flexibility to adapt to business needs and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
