Description We are looking for a skilled and motivated AP Supervisor to lead and support our accounts payable team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to process improvements in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payment approvals.

• Manage the entire accounts payable cycle, including invoice coding, matching, and reconciliations.

• Develop and maintain AP workflows, ensuring compliance with internal policies and operational efficiency.

• Monitor vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments in line with agreed terms.

• Prepare detailed reports, such as AP aging summaries and cash flow forecasts, using advanced Excel functions.

• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure correct job cost allocations.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing system enhancements.

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors to support effective communication and issue resolution. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, including supervisory responsibilities.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.

• Familiarity with Dynamics or Microsoft Business Central; experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide and support team members.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.

• Experience with invoice matching, purchase orders, and account coding.
