Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team in Anne Arundel County. This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of public housing rental properties, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities and a dedication to delivering exceptional service to residents, stakeholders, and the community.
Responsibilities:
+ Tenant Recertifications: Conduct annual recertifications by verifying income, medical information, and other required documentation.
+ Accounts Receivable: Monitor and review accounts receivable for accuracy and timely processing.
+ Property Inspections: Perform regular inspections of units and sites, document findings using property management software, and address any issues promptly.
+ File Management: Maintain and organize client files in compliance with organizational regulations and guidelines.
+ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with HUD and Tax Credit requirements, promptly addressing discrepancies or concerns.
+ Lease Enforcement: Oversee lease agreement enforcement, including attending grievance hearings and court proceedings, as needed.
+ Resident Processes: Facilitate resident move-ins, move-outs, transfers, and interim adjustments.
+ Maintenance Coordination: Track and follow up on maintenance work orders to ensure timely resolutions.
+ Resident Communications: Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters and other communications to keep residents informed.
Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience housing
• Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing with attention to detail.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for managing spreadsheets and data analysis.
• Familiarity with HUD and LIHTC regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience using Yardi or similar property management software.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, contractors, and government agencies.
• Problem-solving abilities to resolve conflicts and address resident concerns.
