Description We are looking for a highly organized and customer-oriented Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and attentive experience. This position involves a variety of administrative and patient-facing tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This is a long-term contract opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in processes, including pre-screening and managing medical records.
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate billing in collaboration with healthcare providers.
• Schedule appointments efficiently while adhering to clinic policies and patient needs.
• Respond to inbound calls, address inquiries, and provide information about services.
• Maintain compliance with medical office standards, including accurate documentation and confidentiality.
• Monitor and replenish office supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Utilize medical software systems, such as EHR and Nextech, to manage patient data and scheduling.
• Assist with additional administrative tasks, such as filing, record-keeping, and correspondence.
• Ensure an exceptional patient experience by maintaining an attentive and empathetic demeanor.
• Coordinate with team members to support clinic workflow and resolve any issues promptly. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience in a medical or fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in medical software systems, including EHR, Nextech, or similar platforms, is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
• Familiarity with billing processes and handling cash transactions is desired.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, as is experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and office procedures.
• Prior experience with answering calls, scheduling, or administrative tasks in a medical environment is advantageous. TalentMatch®
