Description

We are looking for a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing the full lifecycle of procurement contracts within a federal government contracting environment. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in contract negotiations, compliance, and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of procurement contracts, including development, negotiation, and administration for suppliers, subcontractors, and customers.

• Ensure all contracts comply with federal government regulations and organizational guidelines.

• Develop and implement contract terms, modifications, and change orders while mitigating risks and addressing compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align contracts with business objectives and regulatory standards.

• Manage documentation and maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, and related agreements.

• Identify potential risks in contracts and propose effective solutions to address them.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure high-quality service.

• Monitor contract performance and address any issues related to execution, renewals, or amendments.

• Provide expertise in large-scale procurement initiatives and ensure adherence to government contracting standards.

• Support procurement functions by streamlining processes and ensuring effective communication across teams.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, contract management, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in procurement and contract administration within a federal government contracting environment.

• Strong knowledge of federal compliance regulations and procurement standards, including DCAA guidelines.

• Proven ability to negotiate contract terms, modifications, and pricing adjustments effectively.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with procurement software and systems is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience working with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve favorable outcomes.
