Description We are looking for a skilled Operations Specialist to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in San Francisco, California. This role is vital in ensuring seamless collaboration between sales, manufacturing, and logistics teams to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate will excel in demand planning, data analysis, and supply chain coordination while driving operational efficiency to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities:
• Gather, consolidate, and analyze sales data from retail and online channels to support accurate forecasting.
• Develop and maintain detailed demand forecasts, factoring in market trends, seasonal variations, and promotional activities.
• Collaborate with retail and ecommerce teams to refine projections and address demand-supply gaps.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between supply and demand to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for manufacturing partners, ensuring alignment on production schedules and lead times.
• Manage the demand forecasting process, working closely with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to optimize the supply chain.
• Communicate regularly with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and leadership, to align on operational strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all operational activities.
• Continuously improve forecasting models and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead efforts to streamline processes for better collaboration and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
• Proven expertise in component purchasing, planning, and outsourced manufacturing, ideally in electronics or medical devices.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with forecasting and ERP software to support operational planning.
• Exceptional communication skills for working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to manage relationships with international manufacturers and vendors effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
