Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a team in La Jolla, CA. This role is responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting, to ensure timely cash flow and account accuracy. Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and send customer invoices and ensure timely follow-up regarding outstanding balances.

+ Monitor payment collections and send reminders to clients about due or overdue invoices.

+ Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accurately applied and discrepancies are identified and resolved.

+ Review aging reports and update management on outstanding balances.

+ Communicate with clients to resolve invoice disputes or discrepancies professionally.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations when reconciling accounts.

+ Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Customer Service, to address customer billing concerns.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end closings, related to AR activities and reporting.

Requirements

+ Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

+ 2+ years of accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or related experience required

+ Proficiency in accounts receivable systems and accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.

+ Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail.

+ Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.

+ Proactive problem-solving and negotiation skills to resolve issues and drive collections.
